The background to this
painting is a wood grain effect. Burnt Umber and Burnt Sienna were applied
with a cloth then brushed. The flowers were painted using Burnt Sienna,
Titanium White and Zest-it Clear Painting Medium, using a variety of tonal values,
plenty of turned edges and ruffles to the petals. © Jacqui Blackman
