This flower painting of a Dimerandra Orchid is painted using Oil paint. Painted using mainly flat brushes, the petal colour was loaded, then the chisel end was 'tipped' with the darker petal colour. It was painted wet-in-wet, on board and the background is black acrylic. Oil colours used were Titanium White, Naples Yellow, Permanent Rose, Burnt Sienna, Sap Green and Paynes Gray and Zest-it Clear Painting Medium. |
