Zest-it Solvent (Citrus Free)
Zest-it Solvent is a much safer solvent for oil painters than Gum Turpentine and makes an excellent replacement. Ideal for those oil painters who prefer a non-citrus smell, a stronger action, slightly faster drying and a little more 'bite' to their solvent than the original Oil Paint Dilutant and Brush Cleaner. Zest-it Lean Painting Medium
The Lean Painting Medium, which is Zest-it and Linseed Stand Oil mixed, has less Stand Oil than the Clear Painting Medium and is ready for use.Use in the first layers of an oil painting to give a stable foundation and excellent 'key' for further oil work.

Glazing Medium Light and Heavy are a mixture of Zest-it Oil Paint Dilutant and Brush Cleaner, Linseed Stand Oil and Damar Varnish.
Use to thin transparent oil paint for glazing.
It improves the flow of oil paint, levels the brush marks and dries to a glossy flexible film with non-yellowing properties.
Glazing Medium Light is of a thin consistency, whereas Heavy has more body.

Zest-it Linseed Stand Oil
The Linseed Stand Oil is for use with oil colour to improve the consistency and flow of oil paint, dilute with Zest-it Solvent or Zest-it Oil paint Dilutant and Brush Cleaner
A clear viscous drying oil that levels brush marks, drying to a tough flexible film.
There is a risk of spontaneous combustion of cumpled up cloth or rags.

The Damar Picture Varnish is made from Zest-it and Gum Damar crystals, dries to a hard, clear, flexible film. Use as a final varnish to a dried oil painting.
Apply in thin coats.

Zest-it Pencil Blend
Ideal for blending coloured pencils and laying down colour on the paper, only a small amount is needed. Use with a brush, tortillion or paper stump.
Pencil Blend leaves no residue and allows the blending of coloured pencils, pastels, oil pastels and wax for under-painting the subject and the finished result.
Zest-it Parchment Blend
Use with a brush, tortillion, paper stump or kitchen towel to blend coloured pencils or oil pastels on the reverse of the parchment or velum before embossing.

We were asked to make these, as an easy, clean and convenient way of using Zest-it to moisten paper stumps, tortillions and shapers.
Pre-impregnated with 15 ml of Zest-it Pencil Blend for blending Coloured Pencils and Pastel on Parchment and
other work using vellum or paper.
Re-moisten when necessary with 5 ml of Zest-it Pencil or Parchment Blend. Do not over fill. Keep closed when not in use. |
